  • Grant from the Harry S Truman Research Institute for a study about the perceptions of the problem of child maltreatment in Arab families in Israel (in partnership with Dr. Ron Shor). (October 1994 - August 1996). 
  • Grant from the Ford Foundation for research on violence against women in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. (November 1993 – December 1999).  
  • Grant from the Warburg Fund for a comparative study on perceptions of child maltreatment among Jewish and Arab Families in Israel (in partnership with Dr. Ron Shor) (May 1995 - August 1996).  
  • Grant from the Warburg Fund for a study on wife-beating in the Arab society in Israel (May 1995 - March 1997).  
  • Grant from the Minerva Center for Human Rights for a study on wife-beating in the Arab society in Israel (February 1996-October 1997).  
  • Grant from the Milton Rosenbaum Foundation for a study about attitudes of professionals toward the problem of child maltreatment (together with Dr. Ron Shor) (October 1995 - August 1996). 
  • Grant from the Harvey L. Silbert Center for Israel Studies, for a study on beliefs about wife-beating in Jordanian society (July 1996 - June 1997). 
  • Grant from the Harvey L. Silbert Center for Israel Studies, for a study on violent men in the Arab society in Israel (May 1997 - April 1999).  
  • Grant from the NCJW Research Institute for Innovation in Education at the Hebrew University School of Education, for study on wife-beating in Arab society (May 1997 – December 2000). 
  • Grant from the Warburg Fund, for a study on violent men in Arab society in Israel (May 1999-May 2000). 
  • Grant from the Ford Foundation, for community awareness campaigns dealing with: Violence against women in Palestinian society, training professionals in Palestinian society to work with battered women, and advocacy activities in the field of domestic violence (May 2000-present).  
  • Grant from the CRB Foundation (together with Prof. Neil Guterman), for a study on the exposure of youth to community violence (April 2000-December 2003).  
  • Grant from the Israeli Ministry of Science, Culture and Sport for a study on abusive and violent men in Arab society in Israel (December 1999-May 2001).  
  • Grant from the German Research Council (together with Dr. Asher Ben-Arieh) for conducting a study of the value of children in Arab and Jewish communities. This is part of a cross-national and cross-cultural study in eight different countries (September 2001-December 2003).  
  • Grant from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (together with Prof. Zvi Eisikovits and Dr. Guy Enosh) for evaluating interventions with men who batter, in three different therapeutic frameworks in Israel (September 2001-December 2002).  
  • Grant from the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) for training professionals in the Palestinian Authority and Israel on issues related to child abuse and neglect (January 2002-December 2002).  
  • Grant from the Harry S Truman Research Institute for a study on abusive husbands in Arab society (October 2003 – December 2005).  
  • Grant from The Shaine Center for Research in Social Sciences for a study on           wife abuse in the Ultra-Orthodox Jewish society (March 2004-December 2006).           
  • Grant from the Child-at-Risk Foundation in Holland for carrying out research and training and capacity building for combating child abuse and neglect in the Palestinian Authority. 
  • Grant from the UNIFEM for community awareness campaigns about wife abuse in the Palestinian Authority and for developing a manual for training professionals for that purpose. 
  • Grant from the Israel Association for Canadian Studies, for the purpose of visiting Canadian academic institutes and incorporating Canadian contents in my courses. 
  • Grant from the Church-in-Action Foundation in Holland for conducting professional enrichment workshops for teachers and counselors on child maltreatment.  
  • Grant from Israel Science Foundation (ISF) for conducting a study on the Exposure of Palestinian Adolescents to Prolonged and Cumulative Political Violence: A Study of its Psychological Effects and Resiliency Factors  (together with Prof. Charlie Greenbaum). 
  • Grant from Haruv Institute for conducting a study about the Mental Health Effects of the Exposure of Israeli Youth to Intimate Partner Violence: An Ecological Perspective of Risk Factors and Protective Factors  (October 2016-continue).
